Privacy policy
Effective August 10, 2026 · Dental Gigs, Inc. · Denver, Colorado
Dental Gigs is a staffing marketplace: dental offices post shifts, verified professionals claim them, money moves when the work is done. Running that requires real data about real people, so this page says exactly what we collect, why, and who touches it, in plain language. Questions to hello@dentalgigs.app, a person answers within one business day.
The short version
- We collect what the marketplace needs to run and nothing else.
- We never sell your data, and there is no advertising on Dental Gigs.
- Offices never see a professional's license number or documents, only the verification result.
- Location is read at clock-in and clock-out, not tracked in between.
- Email us and we will show you, fix, or delete what we hold on you.
Accounts
Professionals sign up with a name, mobile phone number, and role; offices with a practice name, address, contact name, email, and phone. Phone numbers are how the product works: sign-in codes and shift offers arrive by text, so we store the number and the fact that a message was sent.
Credentials
Licensed professionals give us their license number, state, expiration date, and a photo of the license; some also upload proof of malpractice insurance. We check licenses against Colorado DORA's public registry and re-check when details change. Credential files live in access-controlled storage and are served through short-lived expiring links. Offices never see the documents or the numbers; they see a verified badge and nothing more.
Location
Three kinds, all with a purpose:
- Office address. Needed to match nearby professionals and, once a shift is confirmed, shown to the booked professional with directions. Until confirmation it is masked to the zip code, and open-shift map pins are blurred to an area roughly two kilometers across.
- Professional home base and travel radius. Set by you, used only to decide which shifts you are offered.
- Clock-in and clock-out GPS. When you tap clock in or clock out on shift day, we read your position once and compare it to the office address, a 300 meter soft check. A mismatch is flagged for review, never auto-punished. We do not track location between those two taps, and the app has no background location access.
Messages
Each shift has a message thread between the office and the confirmed professional. Both sides can read their own threads, and Dental Gigs staff can read them when resolving a dispute or a support request. Treat them like workplace communication, because that is what they are.
Money
Payments run on Stripe. We store shift rates, fees, invoice and payout status; Stripe holds card numbers, bank accounts, identity checks, and tax forms. Dental Gigs never sees or stores a full card or bank account number.
Texts and email
By signing up you agree to receive transactional texts: sign-in codes, shift offers, confirmations, reminders. Message frequency varies with activity and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts and HELP for help; note that stopping all texts stops sign-in codes too, so the account effectively pauses. The same notifications also go out by email through SendGrid.
Analytics and logs
This marketing site may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read; that measurement is of visits, not identities. The office and professional apps carry no advertising trackers. Our servers keep standard request logs, and when error tracking (Sentry) is enabled it receives technical details of crashes so we can fix them.
Who we share with
Nobody buys your data from us, full stop. It is shared only with the services that run the product, only to run the product: Stripe (payments and tax), Twilio (texts), SendGrid (email), Railway (application hosting), Cloudflare (site hosting and file storage), OpenStreetMap's Nominatim (turning typed office addresses into map coordinates), and Colorado DORA's public registry (license checks). We also disclose data when the law genuinely requires it, and we will tell you when we legally can.
Retention
Account data lives as long as the account does. Records of completed shifts, invoices, and payouts are kept as long as tax and employment law requires. Delete your account and everything without a legal hold goes with it.
Your rights
Email hello@dentalgigs.app to see the data we hold on you, correct it, or delete it. Colorado residents have these rights in statute under the Colorado Privacy Act; we honor them for everyone, resident or not, and we do not discriminate against anyone who exercises them.
Age
Dental Gigs is a workplace tool for adults. You must be 18 or older to hold an account, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, account holders get notified before it takes effect, by text or email like everything else. The effective date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.
